The homeowners of Longleaf are fortunate to live in a Community Development District (CDD). Longleaf is one of many master-planned communities which operate as a Community Development District for the purpose of protecting the future of the community and the quality of life enjoyed by its residents. The Longleaf CDD works in cooperation with the Longleaf Neighborhood Association (LNA) to accomplish those goals. By overseeing basic infrastructure, amenities, and community operations, the CDD helps ensure the maintenance and preservation of the community.

NOTICE OF QUALIFYING PERIOD FOR CANDIDATES FOR THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE LONGLEAF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT
In accordance with section 190.006(3)(b), Florida Statutes, Longleaf Community Development District (the “District”) hereby gives notice that the qualifying period for candidates for election to the Office of Supervisor of the Longleaf Community Development District begins at noon on Monday, June 20, 2016 and expires at noon on Friday, June 24, 2016.
The District has three seats up for election, Seats 3, 4 and 5. Elections are non-partisan and will be held at the same time as the general election on November 8, 2016 and shall be conducted in the manner prescribed by law for holding general elections. Each seat carries a four year term in accordance with Chapter 190, Florida Statutes, and all other applicable law governing District elections.
Candidates must qualify for the office of Supervisor with the Pasco County Supervisor of Elections located at 4111 Land O’ Lakes Blvd., Room 105, Land O’ Lakes, FL 34639 (telephone 813-929-2788). All candidates shall qualify for individual seats in accordance with section 99.061, Florida Statutes, and must also be a qualified elector of the District. A qualified elector is any person at least 18 years of age who is a citizen of the United States, a legal resident of the State of Florida and of the District, and who is registered to vote with the Pasco County Supervisor of Elections. Campaigns shall be conducted in accordance with Chapter 106, Florida Statutes.
