The Longleaf Community Development District (CDD) is a local unit of special-purpose government created and existing pursuant to Chapter 190, Florida State Statutes. Under state law, the CDD is a government agency, and email communication, and discussions on this website involving CDD business may be subject to public disclosure. State law prohibits CDD board members from discussing district business with each other outside of official board meetings. To prevent violations of the Florida Government in the Sunshine law, some discussion forum topics that are expected to come before the CDD board of supervisors may be closed, locked, or deleted. In addition, CDD board members may not be lawfully able to provide responses to questions on this website until the matter has come before the CDD board in a public meeting.
